The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Season 1 – 5) Movie full Review

Loved the first 3 seasons. Excited for season 4, and when it was over, I couldn’t remember why I liked this show. Season 4 just fell flat. It made the irritating parts of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” even more irritating. The characters are constantly yelling at each other and repeating what the other person said. The f bombs also started to get irritating. I have a feeling things will recover in season 5, so I will stick it out to the end.

The original storyline, characters/actors, gorgeous outfits, the colorful 1950s sets and I could go on and on about what makes this show the huge success it is!!! Boy, that certainly was a run on sentence. I’m not here to talk about the plot, I’m here to say you have to watch this unbelievable show!!!! Just one more thing… I love the Lenny Bruce character/actor, he’s so damn smooth and sexy!!! I hope Midge and Bruce finally sleep together.

This series starting from season one was fresh and clever. It became comfortable by season 2 knowing it’s identity and audience. Season 3 did not amp up but it kept it’s charm. However, season 4 became frantic with the F word being used to express everyone’s anxiety. I don’t mind foul language and I got the point of the season but it seemed more chaotic than was necessary. Everything happening was on fast forward.not giving the audience time to take it in. I found myself skipping pieces of episodes that felt redundant. It was more like a super hero action movie except it wasn’t. I generally like to switch up from one style of a series to another just to change pace.
