Story : In order to save the chaos after the Tree of Life was destroyed, Sun Wukong decides to go back in time and revive the tree. The Macaque Monkey (2021) Movie full Review

I watched this movie because main poster was just impressive. So i was without big expectation. But I found that this Chinese fantasy movie is pretty good.

The most impressive part of movie is appearance of The Macaque Monkey. He was also in the old story and imitated The Real Monkey King. And he was enemy of The Real Monkey King for a long time.

Besides, some action scenes were pretty good enough to enjoy Chinese martial arts. The action performance of the two characters is very dynamic and worth watching.

I watched it as I love chinese movie and Son Goku story. This movie became one of my favorite chinese movie. The action scene was so amazing and ending was impressive. Performance of actors and actress was so good enough to be into the movie.

However, the CG was awkward a little bit so I hope the director’s next film will be better at some video skills. And I thought it would be needed more explanation about Son Goku and “Journey to the West” for someone who doesn’t know well about story.
