Story… Scott has been a case of arrested development ever since his firefighter father died when he was seven. He’s now reached his mid-20s having achieved little, chasing a dream of becoming a tattoo artist that seems far out of reach. This movie really took me by surprise. A great script, brilliant dialogue and great performances by all the characters. An up-lifting story of someone who was lost and then found. Nice to have a positive message, when so often in this day and age it’s the exact opposite. Liked it a lot.

The film is a slice of life drama about a man who is a loser and going nowhere with his life. Scott (Davidson) is in his mid-20s but lives at home….spending most of his time smoking pot and hanging out with other losers. After a while, you seem to realize that at least some of his problem is depression, as his firefighter father died in the line of duty when Scott was 7. The film is about his journey from an unlikable loser to a semi-respectable guy with, perhaps, a future.
