Story : Independent Italian horror Movie. Inspired by the classic Italian horror movies of the 70s and 80s. A professor, Emma goes to Voghera, a small town in Northern Italy. To study the story of the witch Shanda killed in the early 1800’s, on the river bank from which it is named. The professor will be enslaved to a magic spell and will be forced to repeat the same day over and over. Every time she will be killed and every time she will start the day again.

Shanda’s River (2018) Movie full Review
In my life I have seen so many independent films but this “Shanda’s River” is really an incredible film. Perhaps one of the best low budget movies I’ve ever seen. I do not want to make spoilers. The story works very well. the beginning seems a bit slow, but after the first deaths in the film takes a good rhythm. The actress in the role of Emma is very credible, and works well for the whole movie. If you love independent horror movies, I recommend this film.
I wanted this to be good but it just didn’t ever make the mark. This is low budget and you can tell it. The filming isn’t polished, the acting is off and the effects are lacking. The story is about a woman who gets trapped in a day that repeats itself. She wakes up, goes through the day and by the end of the day she’s been murdered. It got old watching the same thing happening without really making any progress in the film. This just didn’t work for me at all.
