I agree with most other reviews that this story would’ve made for an excellent multi-episode series, but nevertheless, this was still a solid and engaging dystopian thriller. The five fairly inexperienced filmmakers who produced, wrote and directed this film created a convincing dystopian landscape, with casting and performances that were all excellent and convincing.

Unfortunately, neither of the characters emerge as multi-faceted human beings, they simply pop out of the script like two-dimensional caricatures, and while the cast does its best to bring these personae to life, their hard work can only go so far in carrying a piece that doesn’t hold its ground.

The movie is very captivating and has solid storytelling. The story might work a bit better in a series as there could be more to tell. The theme is very interesting and I wish there was more to see.

After introducing this macabre new industry, the movie turns into a paint-by-numbers action thriller, completing wasting its intriguing premise. Not once you see a billionaire taking lifetime from a poor fella, becoming young, while the poor chap turns old.
This is another sci-fi movie with an interesting premise and a thoroughly mediocre follow-through. Science fiction excels, when it exploits a radical premise to talk about current social problems, but Paradise fails to capitalize on its clever ideas. How are you going to make a movie about selling your lifetime to the rich and not talk about wage labor? It’s not a big leap, guys.
