October Faction S01 Movie full Review

Honestly the 5.4 rating is not a fair score and I hope everyone gives it a go as I feel it has potential. I’m really enjoying this show and the 3 episodes I’ve seen. The story had enough unexpected twists and turns in the first episode to keep me intrigued. I don’t agree the acting is bad at all! It’s more like a few of the actors are still finding their feet in their new roles, so the nuances aren’t quite there yet.I do wonder at the choice for Fred though. I remember him in Dark Angel and like him as an actor, but he looks older than the actress that plays his Mother, nor does he look in the same age group as his wife. Hard to imagine him as the monster fighting type either. That aside, I like it a lot so far.

This is a mixture of a bunch of things Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer , demon hunting, teen angst , adult frustrations. But it has its own voice. Forget the naysayers. This is a great series, it’s fun not deep. Multi-layered characters. Just sit back and enjoy it. My new favorite show. Good job Netflix. Ignore the couch potato critics.
