All payoff and no setups does not a good film make. One thing I appreciate about this experience is that it serves as an unforgettable reminder that great films do not just happen effortlessly. They require so much planning and discretion and plotting and SETUPS before payoffs.  This could have been a great film, but instead it is a disaster. Wondering why Pacino & Hopkins agree to act in this absurd movie directed by a new guy who wrote scripts for low-budget scary movies before. Without a solid flow of events and actions, the movie can go to everywhere and nowhere. This is exactly the feeling I have after watching painfully for 2 hours. This is the kind of movie film school should use to teach their students to avoid. Frankly speaking, the movie has made all the mistakes one can imagine.
