Mermaid Down (2019) Movie full Review

Reading a description of what the film is about, one could be easily fooled and could give this interesting film a miss. I was really surprised at how good the film was and it was amazingly entertaining. OK, it was a bit slow in parts, but I suppose this was the suspense bit, but overall, I think the movie, in general, succeeded where previous mermaid films have failed.

I gave it an 8 – some parts could have been done a little bit better but in terms of entertainment, acting, dialogue, the special effects that were, and the budget, it was very good.

This is very different than what I expected. Didn’t find it scary at all but actually suspenseful and at times funny. The mermaid is the way I would imagine them in real life, she looked so real and more like an animal than cutesy girl with a fish tail. There is a lot happening, it’s like some crazy world but feels very real. I liked it a lot.
