Mask Girl S01 full Review

It was very unique. The first and the second episode are very interesting and intriguing. The show’s theme appeared to be the social commentary of lookim in south korea which also gave the opportunity to hire right actors for the show instead of typical handsome and beautiful actors in usual kdramas.

I was giving 11 out of 10 so far. However, the premise that I was assuming fell through very quickly after the second episode. From the third episode, the show became a “typical” korean revenge drama. It was quite disappointing since the tone of the show was completely changed early. It could have been nicer if they have maintained the uniqueness to the end, but they seemed to have run into the common moral dilemma such as “there will be consequences”. I’ve seen some korean dramas and movies that start strongly, but end generically. For obvious reasons, those shows never get picked up by many.
