Lupin (Season 1 – 2) Movie full Review

Yes, I wanted to know what happened even though it was clear that the baddies would get their comeuppance. However, the journey to the end was a ludicrous one. How a big, goodlooking black guy gets in and out of heavily-guarded places (or appears on television in a chat show) whose staff have his photo is an utter mystery to me. And not even that, he pops up in and escapes from situations without any plausible explanation.

In the second season he has a character change. Instead of the gentleman thief, we see a guy prepared to seduce a woman he does not love for his own ends. All sense of morality went out of the window here. I’d been watching up to then with a feeling that despite the huge holes in the plot, there was an overarching sense of ethics. No more, and it was a mistake.

The characters were one dimensional, of course. How could they not be in a series written by committee? OK, that leads the plot along in myriad ways, but surely we want a little more?
