First, it feels like all of the bad reviews are from arabic speaking people who are trying to sensure the show. From someone who doesn’t speak arabic i felt like the acting was OK and the storyline ok as well. It doesn’t say that it is a factual series so there is no reason to be upset about the story. Stop the moaning and enjoy the series.

Our Arab society lives in denial, and that’s why they are giving bad reviews about the show here, the whole cast has no experience in acting, but some of them were actually good, the story is simple and the cinematography is breathtaking, I recommend watching this if you’re looking to just enjoy and support the cast!

It was magnificent for me to see Netflix make an Arabic series that pictures what really happens between the students ( conversation – realationshpis and their actions) with no boundaries which we put in our Series in our Arabic nations, the story wasn’t bad and I hope the negative opinions don’t frustrate the actors.

Majority of Arab reviewers are rating this show in comparison to their culture, but they need to understand that Netflix is inclusive and tries to produce shows that will connect to the majority of subscribers. Jordan is a westernised country (for example, the Queen does not wear a hijab) so of course the show will represent the westernised side for a western platform (aka, Netflix). Overall, this show was like many supernatural Netflix shows so I would recommend it.
