Interceptor (2022) Movie full Review

Interceptor is an attempt recreate the formula of the classic 80’s action films such as Commando, Predator and First Blood for a modern audience but it fails on every level. Where these films were fact paced with exciting action and often witty one liners, this a sluggish, snoozefest with laughably bad action and attempts at humour that fall completely flat. Whilst it’s not exactly unusual for an action film like this to have a bad plot, usually the plot is used as little more than to move us from one action sequence to another.

But there are so few action sequences in this film that you are left with little choice but to pay attention to the story. That wouldn’t be too much of a problem if the story was a good one but it’s as generic and uncreative as you can get. And when you do get to an action sequence, it proves to not be worth the wait with painfully slow fight sequences and punches that don’t look like they even came close to connecting. I would expect higher standards in a straight to DVD film.
