Fear of Rain (2021) Movie full Review

Mystery movie. The film tries to present us the schizophrenia and daily difficulties of patients, through the young protagonist who suffers from the disease. She has both visual and auditory hallucinations and often it is extremely difficult for her to determine what is true and what hallucination. Everyone at school is making fun of her, and she’s alone… Until she meets a new student who doesn’t know she’s suffering from schizophrenia, and likes her, she’s not sure if she’s real or if she is just imagining him. And that’s how a romance develops.

But the most serious problem is that she sees from her window the neighbor’s attic and a little girl. She really thinks it’s a kidnapping, even though everyone thinks he’s just hallucinating, and yet she’s trying to find out the truth and find evidence. A pretty good script with twists, but also a film that touches on a very difficult disease although it doesn’t go deep or even dramatic, but rather shows an optimism through romance. Is there a journey to uncover the truth kidnapping or is it part of her imagination? It’s not horror, it’s more of a mystery and with a social meaning. A pretty good suggestion that is worth a watch.
