This movie is well done overall. It has a good story and characters. It’s a fun watch with plenty of action and magic. It’s good to see Hugh Grant acting again. He does a good job playing the manipulative villain. The movie is well casted and the main team complement each other well. I have always loved fantasy and this is right up my alley. The special effects are excellent and make the movie come alive. I am also glad the movie isn’t three and half hours like some others. The length is perfect. Chris Pine is funny and Michelle Rodriguez kicks butt and takes names. This movie has the magic I am looking for.

I’ve played Dungeon and Dragons a few times from the board games to the Online game. I wouldn’t call myself a diehard fan though still love the universe. Didn’t know what I was getting myself into this film. Right from the opening scene to the closing scene I found myself engaged and enthralled. Plenty of action, comedy and adventure and I didn’t want it to end! The film never felt dull at any point and had the cinema laughing several times throughout. I’d say they hit the nail on the head with this one – I can’t think of many negatives to mention other than just go watch it because I think lots of people are gonna agree!
