Story… As middle schooler Emily Elizabeth struggles to fit in at home and at school, she discovers a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend from a magical animal rescuer. Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021) Movie full Review

The 2021 Clifford The Big Red Dog movie adapts its story to a mediocre kids film. The story feels very little. The characters don’t stand out from the ones from the books or the shows. And most of the jokes are bad with toilet humor and pop culture references. But this is rather harmless and is based on a children’s book series. I’ll give it does have bit of charm from the books.

The visuals are fine. And it does get heartwarming when it comes to Emily and Clifford. I know this recommendation sounds unoriginal, but the audience I can mostly think of is kids considering this is based on a book series. But if you grew up with them and the shows and you consider this that brings back your memories, this could be for you. As a children’s book adaptation, this wouldn’t be the kind to be taken seriously.
