The story line is very nice and family friendly. The movie itself is very clean and all the songs are really meaningful. It not only talks about the rights of Indians/Sikhs, but also of women empowerment and their rights of living freely. However, the script got weak in the middle and seemed that they got lost in going back and forth in the time. It has a lot of similarities like ‘Angrej’ movie. There were some flaws in ending the movie because most of the viewers did not even realize that the movie has ended, as if it was finished in a rush. All in all, the concept and acting was good, but it lacked in consistency and timing.
Most of the punjabi movies feel like they don’t have a high budget but this movie was perfect. And the ending could have been a bit better. Not only Amrinder Gill was good but the side characters were built well because we got to know them.
Amazing content, we Indo Canadian should definitely watch this movie, the hardships immigrants faced in canada in earlier years is mind blowing. Nowadays in cananda we have almost equal rights but this movie shed lights on earlier years of immigrants.
