Bommai Nayagi (2023) Movie full Review

This movie very much reminded me of the Korean movie “HOPE”. Both the movies have a very similar kind of plot but are also very different in the setup and execution. The relationship between a father and a daughter and the situations a father has to go through, his helplessness and struggles are portrayed so amazingly in this movie.

The narrative is infact slow paced and even dull. As realistic the director wants to approach this, the intent is right in still showing the positive outcome to spread that hope. Otherwise, justice for such helpless people remains unreachable. The attempt is not to trivialize the case and it shows. The last 20mins however is what raises the story with that twist. The bold move to get justice though filmy, worked well.
