At First Light (2018) Movie full Review

In an ocean of garbage made up of super heroes blowing up entire CGI made cities, it becomes completely refreshing to find such a pearl. There is a real story, interesting from start to finish, nobody gets blown up, no excessive VFX. Excellent casting of real people without being too muscular or Bay Watchish . Once upon a time, science fiction was synonym of people such as Isaac Asimov, H.P. Lovecraft and so on. This film is testament that good science fiction is still alive and kicking! A must watch for true science fiction lovers.

This is definitely not Steven Spielberg or George Lucas Si-Fi production with a unlimited high end budget for CG animated film, but a film that is worthy of its writing, directing and plot to the film. It still has it’s fair share of CG effects at the right moment and also is not over killed with lots of hero type actions like in a Marvel or DC film trying to save the world. It’s idea is good, original and down to earth.
